Cassandra Tech is a company that was born as a spinoff of the University of Milan. This allows transferring with the highest efficiency the results of our researches in products and services that are innovative and accessible to everybody. From software platforms explicitly designed for big companies to turnkey technologies for small farms. Our goal is developing solutions that increase the overall sustainability of companies and farms. to reach this goal, we integrate different technologies, like mathematical simulation models, network of weather stations, satellite imagery and… your smartphone. In fact, our patents allow transforming your smartphone into an instruments for measuring, e.g., the nutritional status of your crops. We develop tools for a variety of problems, from the variable rate distribution of nutrients and fungicides, to the development of index-based insurance products, to the reduction of costs and duration of breeding programs. But before transferring our products to farms and companies, we publish the underlying theories on important international journals, in order to allow the scientific community to certify their validity. People dealing with agriculture look after the land where we live. And they must be supported with technologies that don’t leave anyone behind, that are easy to use and are transparent in showing their costs and benefits, for both the users and the environment.
